RootKing Calcium-D

In the average body, 99% of the calcium is located in bones and teeth, and 1% of calcium is in the blood. It plays an important role in health function, bone growth and lower the risk of osteoporosis in later years. The calcium in the blood helps regulate heart and other muscle contractions, and transmits nerve. Insufficient calcium intake in the diet may lead to calcium being pulled from bones to maintain the blood calcium level. Bone continuously breaks down while new bone forms, thus bones are constantly reforming every day.

Root King
Vitamin D is essential for normal growth and development of bones and teeth especially in early years. Its role is to regulate growth, hardening and repair of bone by controlling calcium absorption, phosphorus from small intestine and maintaining the calcium level in the body. It also promotes blood cell formation, reduces inflammation and enhances immunity system. As vitamin D is needed for calcium absorption, therefore many professional physicians and nutritionists recommend calcium with vitamin D until today.

RootKing Calcium-D is essential for strong bones, muscles, nerves and heart health. The product contains calcium carbonate with equivalent amount of elemental calcium that is needed to achieve the recommended or desired calcium intake daily. Formulated with vitamin D3, it enhances your immunity, promotes calcium absorption and maintaining adequate serum calcium concentrations for bone reformation. Calcium and Osteoporosis: Osteoporosis is most often associated with inadequate calcium intakes generally (1,000-1,500 mg/day), but insufficient vitamin D contributes to osteoporosis by reducing calcium absorption. Osteoporosis is an example of a long-term effect of calcium and vitamin D insufficiency. During menopause, the balance between these processes changes, resulting in more bone being resorbed than rebuilt. Insufficient calcium intake to maintain blood calcium will cause the body will pull the calcium it needs from the bones. Over years, this can make the bones porous, weak, and brittle and increases the risk of osteoporosis.

According to National Osteoporosis Foundation (USA) recommendations:
Below age 51 --- 1000mg / 400-80 iu
Over age 51 --- 1200mg / 800-1000 iu
*Post-menopausal women may require higher intake to reduce risk of osteoporosis.
